Boulder Junction Lodge

Having attended summer camp at this site in her youth, the owner was elated to have purchased the former lodge. After a site visit and some forensic work, we all came to realize that the structure was unsalvageable. The original building was disassembled, with paneling, decorative trim, windows, hardware and other features salvaged for the new build.
Interiors Architecture
Fireplaces once again serve as central gathering points, just as they did in the original lodge, grounding the new layout while supporting a more open, light-filled floor plan. Salvaged materials and carefully chosen finishes ensure the spaces feel lived-in rather than new.
The new cabin is built from a knowledge of architectural history, an understanding of the site and the cabins that were here before, and a retelling of the clients’ history - the place they’ve loved, and the memories they’ve shared.
