For decades this small mid-century ranch house, nestled in the pines overlooking the river, served as a cherished family retreat.

Exploratory demolition revealed what was left of the original decorative brick walls and tile floor of a solarium.

Once called “one of the finest prairie-style houses built in all of St. Paul,” this house was designed by Bentley & Hausler in 1915.

It’s the largest show in the Midwest featuring furniture and accessories from the American Arts & Crafts movement, Mid-century Modern movement and more!

Envious of the beautiful residence across the street, they turned to us to help restore the original Federal Revival character of the house and create more outdoor living space.

After spending 25 years living in a Victorian home, Peter Zenner longed to live in a contemporary downtown condo with a spectacular view of the river and city.

Our project was selected by three nationally acclaimed jurors as a winner from among the 169 projects submitted.

This 1890’s house, designed by nationally acclaimed architect Cass Gilbert (of the U.S. Supreme Court building), had suffered many inappropriate renovations over its lifetime.
